#Low-Carb Breakfast Recipes:
Cauliflower Hash browns
Skip on the Potatoes!
- Grate a Cauliflower.
- Mix an Egg and one chopped Onion to the grated Cauliflower. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
- Melt butter in a large skillet and simply fry your mouth-watering Cauliflower Hash browns! Yum!
Mixed Dal Dosas :
Dosas, healthier than before.
- Soak Black Lentils (2.5 teaspoons), Yellow and Green Moong dal (1/4 Cup each) in hot water for an hour.Drain the water. Grind the dal mixture. Add water as required.
- Pour the fresh batter in a bowl. Add chopped Coriander (1 teaspoon), Hing (1/4 teaspoon), Chilli Powder (1/4 teaspoon), Turmeric Powder (1/4 teaspoon), Ginger Paste (1/2 teaspoon), Green Chilli Paste (1 teaspoon) to the batter.
- Take a pan, heat it well. Pour the batter in the centre and make a circular dosa with the ladle! Pour oil as required.
#Low-Carb Appetizer Recipes:
Chicken Tikka with Vegetable Medley
For the Tikka lovers and Weight Watchers.
- Marinade boneless Chicken with Yogurt, Olive Oil, crushed Ginger Garlic paste, fresh Lime Juice and spices – namely Salt, Turmeric, Garam Masala, Coriander, Cumin, Kashmiri Red Chilli, and dried Fenugreek leaves. Keep aside for two hours.
- Cut your favourite low-carb vegetables – Bell Peppers, Zucchini, Tomatoes etc.
Roast marinaded Chicken Tikka along with the vegetables on a barbeque skewer or cook the tikka in an oven.
Low-Carb Spanish Garlic Shrimp:
Spicy and Tangy!
- Season 1/4 kg Shrimp with salt.
- Fry chopped Garlic (1 small bowl) and Chilli Flakes (2 teaspoons) in butter for 5 minutes, until the garlic turns light yellow in colour.
- Add Shrimp to the Garlic mix. Add more Butter. Stir the dish. When cooked remove the pan from heat.
- Sprinkle Parsley over the dish. Garnish the Garlic Shrimp with zesty Lemon wedges.
#Low-Carb Meal Recipes:
Sesame Tofu Bowl
You will cherish this bowl of vegan goodness forever!
Tofu is rich in proteins, is spongy and absorbs flavours well.
- Get a packet of frozen Tofu from the market. Cut Tofu in bite-sized squares as above.
- For the marinade, mix 3 minced Garlic Cloves, 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste, 1 tablespoon minced fresh Ginger, 1/4th cup Soya Sauce, 2 teaspoon Sesame Oil, 1 teaspoon Chilli Flakes, and 2 teaspoon Vinegar, together. Soak the Tofu in the marinade for an hour.
- Pour oil in a cooking pan and add the marinated Tofu. Stir fry. Then, add Salt and Pepper to taste.
Boil Broccoli in a separate pot for 5 minutes. Add salt to the pot. Serve the boiled Broccoli along with the Tofu. Season the dish with Sesame Seeds and fresh lime.
Pumpkin Curry :
For that phenomenal Weight Loss!
- Add Oil in a frying pan. Once the oil heats-up, put in the Cumin Seeds. Let them splutter. Then add minced Ginger, Green chilli and Onions to the pan. Saute the onions until golden brown.
- Cut Pumpkin in cubes. Add diced Pumpkin to the pan. Add water to help the Pumpkin cook well. Cover the pan with a lid and keep it for 10 minutes.
- Open the lid, sprinkle spices like Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder over the pumpkin curry. Bring to boil.
- Lastly, add salt to taste.
#Low-Carb Dessert Recipes:
Vanilla Custard
- Whisk 6 Egg yolks, ½ cup unsweetened Almond Milk, 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract and Sweetener, if required, in a bowl.
- Slowly mix in ¼ cup warm melted Butter to this bowl. Make sure the butter isn’t too hot!
- Place the bowl in a pan, over boiling water. Stir the mixture continuously. Your thermometer should show 140-degree Fahrenheit for 3 whole minutes.
- Remove the Custard bowl from boiling water pan, after 5 minutes.
- Serve chilled!
